Hi kids!
Your math homework this week is to play the Area and Perimeter Game on this website: http://www.mathplayground.com/PartyDesigner/PartyDesigner.html. Please go through all of the levels of the game. Check your HW sheet for other HW this week (Bible verse, Spelling, Flash cards, Living Museum HW, etc)
For more fun, play with the online geoboard- http://www.mathplayground.com/geoboard.html
This math site has a LOT of fun math games, so feel free to play some others after you have finished your Area and Perimeter Game.

Easter Scavenger Hunt
This was a "scavenger hunt" that took the kids through their Bibles. They looked up Scriptures on their own and then followed the directions to draw or make with paper the objects in each Scripture. FUN!
Easter Party in Class!
We had 4 stations- Easter Pictionary, Easter Bingo, Snacks, and Making an Easter Basket for Toyai! We had a blast! Thank you so much, parents, for helping!
At this station, the kids wrote Scripture on one slip, a note to Toyai on another, and then filled a plastic egg with their slips and a piece of candy.
Easter Bingo!
Easter-themed Pictionary!
Benji deep in thought... "Hmmm. How should I draw this?"
Snack Station! Mmm good!
Resurrection Eggs
We had a scripture and an image inside each egg. The kids got to come up one at a time to open an egg, read aloud the Scripture inside, and show the class the picture. The eggs told a simplified version of the Easter story hitting the 12 key events surrounding Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. We went into a lot more depth during our Bible time.
Area and Perimeter with Geoboards!
We LOVE geoboards in our class! They are so much fun and so effective in teaching many aspects of geometry.

Symmetry and Congruence with Geoboards!
After a lesson on congruence and symmetry, the kids paired up. With their partners, they created 2D shapes on their geoboards that were congruent, symmetrical, not congruent, or not symmetrical.
