Barter Day!

During our study of Colonial Times, the kids "bartered" just like they did in that time period to acquire needed/wanted items.  Each child brought an item to barter.  When "the sun came up" (a cut out of a sun on the board), the kids could start bartering.  When "the sun set", bartering was closed.  The kids learned that bartering could be a lot harder than they imagined.  For some it was frustrating, and for some it was fun!
